Understanding the physical emotional and spiritual components of our beloved children is a prerequisite to providing a healthy home and school environment. Each child is unique and from the start of their life shows both talents and fears as well as developing limitations in navigating the physical world. This is dependent on many conditions of a physical and emotional predisposition. Accepting and honoring their uniqueness is the key to raising healthy and more responsible citizens.
Roseann Vanderbeck OTR/PC has been in pediatric occupational therapy practice for the past 28 years. Her special needs clients include those with Autism spectrum disorders and developmental disorders. The goal of treatment is to calm and organize the central nervous system to allow for growth, development, and adaptive skill acquisition.
Ms. Vanderbeck’s therapy agency and clinic provides services to early childhood and school aged children in need of physical, educational, speech and occupational therapy services. Her practice is unique in that it is often nicknamed the "Sensory Gym.” Ms. Vanderbeck is trained in using the Brain Gym, Bal-A-Vis-X, and neurodevelopmental treatment techniques.
