Due to Josette's death, she was carried via surrogacy by Caroline Forbes. She's only ever told one person that story and knows that Ben must be free from Malivore and asks where he is. He bets that Alaric has booze at the Salvatore School and suggests they head back over. Lizzie and Josie sit in the waiting room. Aurora will do whatever she has to do, including raising Ken. Lizzie Saltzman's romantic reunion with Sebastian on this week's episode of 'Legacies' has turned into a nightmare. She instructs Josie to continue to play along and take her to the ritual site so that they can get close enough to Hope to bring back her negative emotions to break the drug's effects. Josie knows she didn't go through with it, but Lizzie admits that she almost did. She teaches the twins the Incendia spell and with that can show him what they've done as a tribute. They have to protect the greatest number of students. Later, Lizzie comes to join MG to watch over Hope with tea and sodas. She gives him a short explanation on why she's still single but Ethan assures her that someone will come along. Kaleb and Cleo arrive in time for Wade to light them a candle. With their time running short, Lizzie cuts to the point. Lizzie retorts that they obviously wake the time god, whoever that is, which proves Aurora's point. Coming to terms with her actions, she admits she needs help and rests her head on Josie's shoulder for comfort. Although, she wanted nothing to do with Sebastian, she retained her attraction. They forgive each other and Lizzie resolves to find a way to bring their dad back. Lizzie believes something is missing from the story. After Josie joins Lizzie inside, Hope steals the car with Ryan, wanting to see his options for defeating Malivore. Pulling out her notebook, Lizzie has another idea. The reason for the sarcophaguses. Thankful for MG's speechand fearful that MG will not get to attend his own funeral given his vampire statusLizzie writes and delivers a eulogy for MG to him. As Lizzie is ranting Josie reminds her to calm down. Alaric and Caroline found out about this a few months after the Gemini Coven's massacre and they agreed to raise Lizzie (along with her twin sister, Josie) together. Lizzie assumes it's playing dead, but MG points out that he's not playing. Hope will turn to Lizzie - of all people - for help with Landon toward the end of Season 1. . For her sake, they need to find another way. Alaric's mind is made up and he leaves. Without him, she feels like she doesn't know what the right thing to do is anymore and feels like everything is on pause now. Given their sire bound, Lizzie relents and admits that codependency is her crutch and decides to go along as if she has to help her kill anyone, Aurora's pretty high up on her list. Landon is free and has returned. Though there's no going back now after what she's seen. She then makes Josie promise that she will not keep any more secrets, to which she agrees. He's called some parents and they have thirty students to satisfy the town charter. Blonde It's weird because it's like she doesn't even want to ask herself the question. In the same spirit, she wonders what she should do about Josie. Her dark side scoffs at the thought, believing that won't get rid of her. He comes to the conclusion that, in reality, it's anything but safe and achieving his mission statement has proven impossible. While they wait to find out how similar Ethan's body chemistry is to the pukwudgie, she wants to talk. Lizzie, however, was looking for Josie who was acting weird and eventually bailed on the performance. Hope wonders if she should have this conversation with MG, but confesses he hasn't been around. When the Malivore monsters arrived, they were forced to put their issues aside to work together, something they both struggled to do. Lizzie doesn't take the suggestion well, and tells Sebastian that whilst she has thought about becoming a vampire before, she doesn't know what the future holds and doesn't want to lose the ability to have children or start a family. Landon and Cleo intervene. Hope is already behind her and breaks her neck with a spell. Lizzie siphons from the Red Oak stake, but Aurora telekinetically takes the stake from her and shoves Lizzie back into a support beam. In Hope is Not the Goal, she is the first to volunteer when Alaric asks who wants to investigate the disappearance of Dana and Sasha. When everyone is back, Lizzie astral projects to the Prison World and tells Sebastian to jump into the Malivore pit, given the Prison World is unstable and is folding in on itself. She has too much of her mother, both of them, in her for that. They begin to kiss, which is witnessed by MG from afar, however MG is unable to perceive Sebastian and it appears that Lizzie is kissing the air. She tells Lizzie that they have a crazy uncle, and that he killed Jo on her wedding day. In It Will All Be Painfully Clear Soon Enough, Lizzie is part of formulating the plan to sacrifice Simulandon to the sphinx instead of the real Landon. She thought she knew what the right thing was, but she always talked to her dad about it. In the bedroom, Josie helps make her hairstyle, talking about Jo, if her sister doesn't want to be suspicious, Lizzie thinks they can be angry at Caroline for not being present but they can not be cheating with a 'mombie dearest'. Alaric is aware of Malivore's plan. Josie disagrees. With Malivore dead, wherever Ben is, she believes he's there for eternity. MG was right. Lizzie opens up to her and expresses that though they may share so much in common, there's something they don't. She viewed Hope as the bane of her existence, hoping to one day be rid of her. Night has fallen in the simulation. Throughout the day, however, it becomes increasingly clear that the students at the Salvatore School do not care about Lizzie's death; some of them are even happy she is gone. She's also the co-leader of California Freelance Writers United, a grassroots organization advocating for smarter legislation and forward-thinking labor law for freelance writers in California and across the country. When he went to bury the pukwudgie, it dematerialized and disappeared in his hands. That depends on whether or not it will make him mad. However, Josie keeps having to remind her that their father isn't dead. They continue with the memory, and find Alaric and young Hope in his office. Despite her attempts to piece herself back together, she believes herself to be truly un-fixable. Later, Jo tells Alaric that they will be having twins and that the Gemini Coven will want to get their hands on them to strip Kai of power by performing another twin merge. The Vampire Diaries franchise officially ended, with the Legacies finale tying off the loose ends from both prior shows. Lizzie asks how she knew, but Hope tells her she's been avoiding the same part of the battle plan because she didn't want to know who they were going to lose. In I Never Could Love Like That, Elena finds out about Jo's pregnancy when she tells her that Kai had been imprisoned in the 1903 prison world. Jed questions why they're trusting Ben again and Alaric explains that he's proven to him that he's on their side. She's probably not the right person to ask and believes she should also stop pretending like she knows the answer all the time. MG explains that Professor Vardemus has explained that since Alaric is in a coma, their blood can't heal him enough to wake him. As Lizzie prepares the spell, Finch reveals she's been researching around the library, learning she's a Gemini witch. They return to the school, as Hope and Alaric storms off. Kaleb Hawkins was a vampire and a student at the Salvatore Boarding School who first appeared on the second episode of the first season of Legacies. However, MG quickly learns that Ethan's no longer breathing. However, that's no longer the case, he doesn't know why he's even here. The Keeper reveals to the two that the only way for the two to leave the game is if one of them takes her place becoming trapped in the game whilst the other is set free. As Hope distracts Ken with a magic, Lizzie appears behind him and siphons from him, but she's overwhelmed and blown back by a gust of wind. Ultimately, Jen accepts their offerings. Previously, it was only Klaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) blood that could cure a werewolf bite. After Andi disappears to shower, Lizzie sneaks into her cabin to search through her things. Puting the ring on her finger, she appears as Josie. Lizzie stays and works along side of Aurora, finding Ben at the Old Mill. She gives her Valentina's necklace as her parents call for her. Alaric explains that he wants to apologize to her, and Josie, while he still can, for failing them. Penelope then suggests that the team win without their abilities and Lizzie agrees that it is a good idea. Lizzie explains that she's tired of fighting and she's leaving to go visit her sister. Lizzie quips back that if Salvatore's Got No Talent is their best shot, then they're in major trouble. He said she wasn't one of them and had the heart of a coward. Lizzie visits Alaric's office whilst he is cleaning his arrow and asks about Sebastian. MG later learns that Sebastian was real and was communicating with Lizzie in a diminished and desiccated state and eventually reunites the two. With a map and chess pieces they strategize their battle plan. Until one day, out of nowhere, Ken came to see her, calling her daughter. As MG defends himself against Malivore controlled Ethan Lizzie appears behind Ethan and grabs his head, siphoning. Thanks to Cleo's vision they know that Ken is planning an attack on the school, but the good news is they get to choose the field of battle. Hope has had enough tests, though. She explains that she can't hold the god magic for much longer and the meadow is going to explode. She believes that she won't kill her. He's always had her back, even when she didn't choose him or deserved it. Hope calls her bluff, believing that therapy is tricky, because knowing what you need to do and going through with it are two different things. They have to respect each other. Ashamed, she seeks out Andi at her cabin. Lizzie believes that they can convince Alaric that Sebastian isn't a threat, however Sebastian reveals that he doesn't want to return to the modern world, but to remain in the peaceful Prison World forever. 4. She's also upfront about her terms. Continuing to siphon him, she wonders if he smells itwhite fire and brimstone. If they refuse to hand her over, they'll all die. Hope now thanks otherwise and asks Lizzie to show her the spell. It's a great idea and they'll be waiting. Jen loves horses and tells her that she used to have one as a kid before her father smote it. Lizzie, being nice, doesn't want to change because it's what they win with every year. However, if that's true, everyone wouldn't be looking at her the way they are, like she can find a way to keep the school open. She can't trust anyone and needs to look out for herself. Josie retaliates, claiming that Lizzie doesn't know the real her. The transition from Siphoner to vampire-witch hybrid amplifies all of Lizzie's personality traits and emotions, taking her already tempestuous personality and making it even more extreme. Josie wanted to be independent but that didn't last long and is already back at the Salvatore school. Aurora's frustrated that she's keeping her at arm's length in regards to the direction and questions how she's tracking the gods when magic doesn't work on them. Lizzie gets pushy with her, asking how long it will take because her whole life is on pause until she can find a way to explain what happened to everyone. MG appreciates the offer, but he's going to hit the books alone. Lizzie explains that she is finding it difficult to accept the decision, but will support Josie and love her nonetheless. Caroline attempts to take the cup, though she grabs Caroline by the wrist and siphons her until she pulls away. Perhaps she'll be less judgmental when she has blood on her hands, too. However, what makes them most alike is that people have always made them feel as though they need to be fixed. Josie believes that his psyche has left them a trail to follow and they set off. Hope sets her loose, deciding that their partnership is over. They're not using magic, the leprechaun is and they can save their school in the process. Lizzie thinks it a trick and Aurora, at one time, would have tricked her, but she reiterates Lizzie words. Hope admits it's a good plan, but they're afraid of how she acts to get Landon. By happenstance, Ethan pulls up into the gas station and offers them a ride back to the school. Aurora attempts to speak, but Lizzie casts another spell to silence her. She has the Illusion Ring and intends to walk right past them as her. However, Lizzie points out that she's locked in a cell and her schedule is wide open. Besides, they'd hate Belgium. Caroline further explains that there was no defining moment in her life, and that Life happens when you least expect it; this lightens Lizzie's mood. She's shocked, but that gives him an idea. Professor Vardemus attempts to attack Hope, too, but Lizzie stops him. She wants her to find that vendor's voice with her enhanced hearing. In The Next Time I Hurt Somebody, It Could Be You, Lizzie and Josie visit Caroline for Christmas since they haven't seen her since Alaric took them away from Mystic Falls to a safer location. She merely tells her that it's a retreat for witches, led by Andi. This resonates with Lizzie but she brushes it off. Having stolen a black magic grimoire from Professor Vardemus, Hope intends to recreate something similar to Papa Tunde's Blade, something she learned from Aurora. Alyssa is unable to provide further insight, however, and is murdered by Josie. In I Wouldn't Be Standing Here If It Weren't For You, Alaric brings her breakfast in bed, though she's hiding from the world and her problems. Lauren Piester Nov. 4, 2021 at 8:14 p.m. PT. Lizzie and Jen race back to her workshop, calling Aurora. After that, then they can go after Aurora. However, she wants to know who she's dating and if it's serious. Hope, however, has finished plan B. Lizzie tells Hope that they don't need a plan B. Lizzie is confused and worried about the prospect of losing the Merge, however Hope remarks that she will aid her in preparation. Uncle Ric prepares his horse with Lizzie hot on his trails. Lizzie thinks that MG's screwed up, though Alaric bursts through the doors. Lizzie apologizes to Hope for the ordeal, citing that she did not know the origin of the dress. In a convoluted way, Lizzie explains that she likes MG, but he finds it difficult to understand what she is saying and the idea is lost on him. Hope also has a backup plan. To bring people to the school for Fundraiser Day, she intends to try and figure out if she could reverse one of them and draw people to them. This is the proof that Hope needs and they return to the mortal world. In Malivore, Lizzie attempts to make a deal with Rafael. Now unable to let anyone else hurt her, Lizzie was also forced to obey a humanity-less Hope's every whim. She's having another existential crisis, but Hope offers to sit with her. All she did was watch as he slowly slipped away. With Kaleb's help, she sends the patrons away. Josie approaches her, asking if he's dead. Lizzie eventually finds her way to Jen's hideout and, in a cargo container, four sarcophaguses. Josie remembers that Hope then filled their cake with worms and Lizzie retaliated with a Motus spell. Her going to extremes got her what she wanted, but Josie isn't here for her. Ben is sure that their plan will never work. As much as Aurora detests the things Lizzie said to her, many of them were true. The two sit together at their father's address when he reveals that he will be putting his position at the school to the vote of the students. Kaleb overhears this and sees it as an opportunity to get MG and Lizzie together. He has nothing more to say, except that he's sorry, and leaves the Grand Hall, leaving Hope, as well as all the others in attendance, shocked. They're different. Lizzei attempts to get Hope to separate her fear and anger while her darkness pushes her further, that her friends will die remembering the worst version of her. Lizzie questions if that is an option she or Josie should consider, believing it would solve the Merge. Supernatural information Aurora doesn't trust him, though Ben tells them that they're trying to trick a god. She's waited far too long for this, and she won't let anyone ruin her fun. Josie was accidentally killed by Lizzie after they learned about the Merge, and Hope was never born. Caroline quips that she's been gone long enough. When the game begins, Lizzie repeatedly tells Josie to cast the spell as they begin to lose, with Josie once again explaining that she cannot practice magic. She attempts to explain that she's not who she thinks she is, even calling out for someone to help her. Despite her instability, she loves herself and she believes she's capable of doing it herself without Lizzie's help. Besides if anyone is powerful enough to heal him, Josie believes it's her. Vamping to face him directly, she tells him she's been practicing and grabs his hand, siphoning. They grew up together and have gone to (and currently go to) the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted for most of their lives. She tables MGs conversation. She throws Penelope against the banister, knocking her out and Josie begins to form a fireball but Lizzie grabs her arms and siphons the magic from her. Lizzie believes the best way they can protect their friends is to keep them in the dark. She needs to get out of the tunnels and defeat Ken. What makes Lizzie a heretic? She's upset that Josie told their father about her crush before telling her own sister. Siphoners are rare witches who are born without the ability to create magic of their own; instead, they pull magic from other sources. Landon arrives and has figured out how to defeat the monster. She attempts to flirt with him at a school sports game, but he immediately turns her down, which shocks and angers Lizzie, which later causes her to go into a fit of rage and makes her believe that she's broken. Though she feels they'll regret this personal growth, she shows him her arm. She jolts awake exclaiming the name "Hope Andrea Mikaelson", having regained her memories perhaps due to the blast of dark magic from Josie. This upsets Lizzie, and she breaks down crying. Every time they solve one problem, another one just pops up. Lizzie eventually comes up with a plan involving a Prison World, and helps create a Prison World for Rafael to live out the remainder of his life with his parents, Walt and Lucia. Kaleb, however, is doing research, particularly searching comics for ideas. Hope is in a very dark place, and she's going after an innocent student. Penelope had a lot of opinions but told her the best part was Josie. Kaleb's found the culprit, a leprechaun, and they trap it in the werewolf transition space. To get the information she wants from Aurora, Hope decides to torture her and commands Lizzie to remove her daylight ring. In That's Nothing I Had to Remember, Lizzie hangs out with Landon to protect him from the croatoan, the new monster terrorizing Mystic Falls. Josie admits that she couldn't feel her. Eye color From the outside, their relationship seems abusive and toxic, yet she'd still do anything to have him back, similar to her wanting Josie and Hope back. Instead she offered to make them armor for protection but Ken cast her out. In The Story of My Life, Lizzie is placed under a sleeping spell by Hope and held within the sarcophagus. That's why she's here, because they need help fixing Ethan's powers. Her ability to forgive extends to Hope, helping her after her humanity turns back on, despite Hope having killed her. He's brought her Belgian waffles, explaining that she's going to have to face the world at some point. Lizzie doesn't believe this, though she points out that if monsters are real, then why not divine beings. Seline takes the girls to a diner, where Sybil and Damon find them, and then to a motel, where she plans to offer them to Arcadius in exchange for and Sybil's freedom from being Arcadius' servants. As the night progresses, Lizzie wants to use her sister's cup, the pink one, rather than her usual purple one. Arrived at Mystic Falls High School, she immediately gives directions to others, asking MG to team up together because she needs mind compulsion powers, which he accepts. Hope and Landon chain her up instead and question her. A place far away from violence. Talking with the Keeper, it becomes apparent that Hope would not survive should Lizzie take the Keepers place. Initially, nothing was different, but she notices remnants of what used to be a message. The three of them embrace in a hug as Alaric approaches. Lizzie's ancestry consists of bloodshed and a witch coven, which was destroyed about a year prior to Lizzie's birth. She hates how many good memories they have and how she is the one to do this when no one else is willing to do it. She reprimands Hope for bringing her sister into this magical business. Lizzie would like to talk about the Merge more instead of it being a big, unspoken thing and Alaric accepts. Deep down, Lizzie meant every word she said and still believes that there is still some good in her. Ric explains that becoming a monster they get certain gifts they like to hurt innocent people with. However, with missing memories, they connect that whoever she dealt with also involved Malivore. With her sister, she goes to her father's office, wanting an explanation about her mother's absence, as Alaric is only lying, the twins unlocking the locked door. The pain will probably never go away. In Best Served Cold, it is revealed by Valerie Tulle that the twins actually survived Kai's attack on Jo, due to the fact that the Gemini Coven performed a spell to save the twins. MG looks towards the bright side. The ritual will happen later this evening. Lizzie calls MG (who is with Sebastian), to ask about killing the croatoan. He points her in the right direction for finding the Principal of Mystic Falls High School, which shocks Hope when she finds out it is Alaric. After dying and completing her transition, she has the typical weakness of a siphoner-witch non-Original vampire hybrid. Alaric points out that if any of the vampires are bitten, it could cause a chain reaction, sending them all into a feeding frenzy, putting everyone in danger. Let's start with. Lizzie has come up with a solution; the first, and hopefully last, fundraiser month. Aurora also awakens as they embrace each other in a hug. She didn't want to feel that pain again. Lizzie reiterates Caroline's words about being airy clouds floating high above a turbulent sea of drama. The two get into a heated debate in which rifts are drawn between the two, but more importantly, Josie reveals the origin of the dress Hope is wearing. At the gymnasium as she knocks against a punching bag, Penelope comes to see her, Lizzie ask why she hates her so much, Penelope tells her that it has nothing to do with her, but about how she treats Josie, pointing out to everything her sister does for her and that in return Lizzie does nothing. In this twisted reality, Alaric was jailed for killing Josie, who later turned up very much alive well, undead. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jenna[2] Saltzman is a major recurring character on The Vampire Diaries, guest character on The Originals, and main character on Legacies. Alaric and Emma find her and round up the students into a safe space. Samantha is there too and finds one of Andi's gloves. Hope confronts her, but she doesn't have any idea what she's talking about. Ken easily stops it, unaffected by Kaleb's assault. As they begin the spell, the portal opens to the prison world, but Lizzie starts to experience excruciating pain. They explain that it's a promise of new life and a life full of promise. Later that night, they arrived back at the school with her plan in full effect. All the students that have left and the luxuries they've had to cut. The side that's willing to do whatever it takes. She makes Landon talk about Star Wars to take her mind off telling him about his past with Hope. All those things are gone now except for Ethan. Later, she learns that the leprechaun was released by Hope and has consumed all of the money they've gained from fundraiser day, as well as other artifacts from the school. She stands corrected as Lizzie didn't need her help and her retorts that Aurora merely followed her. Lizzie reminds him that it's not a trained dog. She pleads to Lizzie, believing it to be her brother, to release her before Hope returns. MG arrives late, but considering his actions, Hope neglected to inform him of the meeting. Alaric calls a meeting and informs them that many of the students have decided not to return. Hope's plan was dangerous and vows that it is the last time she does anything for her. Lizzie figures out that whoever triggers the explosion, they're not likely to get clear in time, even at vamp speed. Aurora hands her the key to let her do the job herself. In I'd Leave My Happy Home For You, Jo and Bonnie are attacked by Lily during Jo's bachelorette party. In I Thought You'd Be Happier To See Me, Lizzie is awoken by Deputy Lorde knocking on the doors of the Salvatore School. Also, both twins are descended from a dark history involving their magical lineage, which is partly due to their siphoner-heritage. Lizzie couldn't feel her, either. If she does that, then Lizzie will be forced to tell her father, to which Aurora would consider a betrayal. In Facing Darkness is Kinda My Thing, Lizzie masquerades as Hope in a bid to plan her own funeral, despite initial reluctance from her father. As they cast the spell, eventually, Kaleb, Alaric, MG and Hope are released from Malivore's hold on their minds. In It's Been a Hell of a Ride, Kai breaks free from the Armory's holding cell and hunts his nieces. Out in the woods, Lizzie comes to a cellar and calls out to MG. However, Kaleb barges in and explains that the tour is bleeding students. While washing graffiti off of a window with Kaleb and MG, members of the Mystic Falls High School team approach them and one of them throws a milkshake on Lizzie. Lizzie drops the fork and she and Josie begin to scream over the vibrations the tuning fork makes. Lizzie knows she screwed up but she knows that Aurora is in Jen's metalshop planning to do something stupid, but begs her not to make any sudden moves. He asks about Joise, but she wouldn't leave her side. In The Tale of Two Wolves, she and Josie wave at Caroline as she gives a tour inside the Salvatore School. Lizzie confides to Kaleb that Ethan coming to rescue her was an epic move. She agrees that his plan was right. It feeds off of disrespect. Her gang is still out there. After the spell is completed, Alaric takes the girls away. Alaric explains that the session was about how they're going to deal with Malivore and how she would fit into that plan. Josie awakens from her dream. Her progress was temporarily thwarted when MG accidentally made her think she was hallucinating. Later, the girls visit Caroline at work; Seline leaves to go have a salad for lunch and leaves the girls with Caroline. Lizzie goes through the Haunted Tunnel finding a bloody handprint. Lizzie is honest with her. Then Does Alaric leave Legacies? Lizzie became obsessed with killing Hope, crafting stakes from the red oak tree and training to kill her. Even in his weakened state, she won't be able to kill him. They must work together, however to fix their father's mistakes and find the urn before it gets into the wrong hands. She is later seen with Josie and MG gives her a plate of brownies because he knows they are her favorite. Josie is furious, and tells Lizzie to stay out of it as she is only making things worse; Lizzie is saddened by this, but understands. Later that night, Lizzie finds MG in the kitchen, preparing a McG. Lizzie opens a small door, revealing her face. She also questions what they do with Jen herself, who's clearly loath to raise any god. Lizzie's unsure if that's what she wants, becoming a vampire, but it's an option. They replay his last memory of his confrontation against Hope, learning she's the one who's attacked him and left him in a coma. She had called her crazy and was being dismissive and judging her symptoms and not their cause. The kind that is soft and builds on mutual respect, that grows over time.
